Humble Beginnings

I fell in love with the flight of the frisbee when I discovered Ultimate Frisbee in 1988 playing for Ohlone Community Colllege in Fremont, California. I could barely catch the disc in the beginning, and I was petrified to throw it. After obsessive practice, my improvement led to a life-long infatuation with watching plastic fly.

New Passion

My passion for hitting the chains was kindled when I began playing Disc Golf in 2007 in San Jose, California. My wife and I would play the two courses nearest our home. Eventually, I was playing every day.

Here and Now

Retired to New Smyrna Beach, home to four local courses and within a short distance to a dozen more. Started a business focused on digital commemoratives with my son, Jack, before his senior year in high school. While working on projects, we came up with Hyzerman, inspired by the iconic Heisman pose, and hyzer, a disc-tossing technique. Combined with our slogan "Stiff Arming the Field", we were ready to embark on a new journey together.
